According to the provisional repurchase schedule in the U.S. Treasury Department's August 2026 quarterly refinancing plan, the September Treasury repurchase arrangements are as follows: The Treasury Department's repurchase operations will be conducted from 13:40 to 14:00 Eastern Time, which is 01:40 to 02:00 Beijing Time the following day (during U.S. Daylight Saving Time). It is important to note that the U.S. Treasury Department announced on August 19 that, starting September 9, the size of liquidity support repurchases of 10- to 20-year and 20- to 30-year nominal interest-bearing Treasury securities will at least double to a minimum of $4 billion per transaction. This adjustment applies to the remainder of this refinancing quarter. Therefore, the original provisional maximum size of $2 billion in the table should be subject to the Treasury Department's updated repurchase schedule. The two long-term nominal Treasury repurchases on September 10 and September 24 will be the most noteworthy operations after this increase in size.
