According to Tasnim News Agency, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stated that the government's gasoline restructuring plan will gradually eliminate subsidies for imported gasoline, with only about 15% of gasoline consumption currently subject to the new prices. The government has made arrangements for public transportation vehicles to ensure they can obtain gasoline at an appropriate price. Aref also stated that the government has passed a resolution prioritizing the phasing out of older vehicles and promoting their replacement with dual-fuel and electric vehicles.
