Turkish President Erdogan said on July 7 Turkey will deepen ties with the
Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the presidential office said. Speaking
After a cabinet meeting, Erdogan called Turkey an SCO dialogue partner and
described the SCO as a particularly important regional body, noting its members
account for a substantial share of global population and economic output and
have “huge potential.” He said at last week’s SCO+ meeting in Bishkek he
reaffirmed Turkey’s determination to boost trade with SCO member states.
