Consumer associations in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei said 10 airlines and five
online ticketing platforms that had been summoned for talks completed ticket
overbooking rectification on schedule by Aug 31. They reported that defects in
overbooking rule disclosure, on-site handling, compensation arrangements and
complaint mechanisms have been addressed; consumers should now see clear
overbooking rules at purchase and have defined on‑site handling and compensation
guarantees if overbooked.
