CATL's Chocolate battery-swap unit said province-level centralized signings for
100-station packages make highway swap stations likely to exceed 1,000 by
end-2026. The unit expects to have 1,000 highway swap stations built in 2027,
forming an 11-vertical by 9-horizontal national highway backbone. Projects are
advancing along major trunk routes including the G4 Beijing–Hong Kong–Macau
Expressway, with stations confirmed in Chongqing, Anhui and Henan, signaling a
move from isolated sites to networked cluster construction.
