HKEX CEO Chen Yiting said rising international diversification into China is driving a historic re‑rating of Chinese assets. He noted Hong Kong secondary trading has stayed elevated this year: average daily spot turnover in the first eight months exceeded HKD 280 billion, up 14% YoY. Shanghai‑Shenzhen‑Hong Kong Stock Connect has run smoothly and derivatives markets remain active. On the primary market, 104 companies listed in Hong Kong through end-August, raising over HKD 340 billion—already above 2025’s full‑year total. International cornerstone investor participation in Hong Kong IPOs is at multi‑year highs, with long‑term capital from the Middle East, Europe, North America and other APAC regions increasing.
