McKinsey Global Institute analyzed over 11 million job postings and approximately 6,800 skills in the United States, finding that about 72% of skills exist in both tasks that can be automated and those that still require human intervention. The International Labour Organization (ILO) reached similar conclusions: approximately one-quarter of jobs globally may be affected by generative AI, but job restructuring is more likely than complete job replacement.
Data entry, basic analysis, and financial processing will increasingly be handled by AI, while human resources will shift towards problem definition, result verification, anomaly handling, and judgment. For businesses, the real productivity difference comes from complete process transformation: nearly 90% of companies have invested in AI, but less than 40% report quantifiable benefits; simply deploying tools has not yet fully translated into profits.
