Trans Mountain, the Canadian government-owned pipeline operator, is accelerating
expansion of west-coast export capacity to capture rising Asian demand, the CEO
said. The company plans to raise throughput to 1.2 mln bpd by end-2028 and add a
further 1.0 mln bpd between 2032 and 2034, citing supply suppression from the
U.S.-Iran war and a Canada-U.S. trade dispute that is prompting Ottawa to seek
alternate partners.
