Hungary Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Orbán said on the 8th the
foreign ministry has notified the Russian ambassador that, after assessment, 10
members of the Russian mission in Hungary were engaged in activities
inconsistent with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and have been
ordered to leave. Orbán said the measure is intended to protect Hungary’s
security and sovereignty, does not sever diplomatic relations, and Hungary still
seeks necessary dialogue on the basis of mutual respect and compliance with
rules.
