According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, the unmanned submarine captured by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is designated Dive-LD, an autonomous underwater vehicle developed by the US company Anduril Industries. The first prototype is scheduled for delivery to the US Navy's Unmanned Underwater Systems Force in 2025. The submersible is approximately 5.8 meters long and weighs about 3 tons, designed for independent, long-duration missions in deep water. Dive-LD can operate underwater continuously for up to 10 days, and according to the manufacturer's specifications, its maximum diving depth is 6,000 meters. Its modular design and 3D-printed components allow for the rapid installation of various sensors and payloads. Key potential missions include underwater reconnaissance and surveillance, seabed mapping, mine detection, submarine cable and pipeline inspection, anti-submarine warfare support, and data transmission.
