Meta Platforms (META.O) launched Muse, a personal AI agent for tasks such as
scheduling, form‑filling and home camera monitoring. Muse is powered by Meta’s
Muse Spark base models and is offered as a free tier plus $20/month and
$100/month subscription plans. Meta AI head Alexander Wang said Muse runs in an
isolated environment on Meta’s compute infrastructure, will not read actual
passwords or payment data, and will request confirmation before performing
sensitive actions; users may opt in to allow Meta to use interaction data for
model training after removal of key personal identifiers. Meta said it is
exploring commerce and in‑agent transaction monetization as it faces AI safety
and privacy scrutiny and pressure on AI returns; CEO Mark Zuckerberg has framed
personal AI agents as a future product and revenue priority.
