CNOOC said the platform started service after the first capacity‑expansion well
at the Enping 24‑2 oilfield came onstream, marking China’s first in‑situ oil and
gas expansion platform at roughly 100 meters water depth and opening a new path
to raise output and efficiency in aging offshore fields.
