1. New CEO's Debut
—Ternus, who has served as Apple's head of hardware since 2021, has hosted numerous Apple product launches, but this will be his first appearance as CEO. This event will be his first opportunity to showcase his vision for the company.
2. The Long-Standing Issue of iPhone Price Increases—Pricing of the new products is perhaps one of the most anticipated issues at this event. Apple has taken measures this year to mitigate the impact of rising chip prices, and it is reported that it will raise the prices of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max by $100 each, a smaller increase than previously expected.
3. First Foldable iPhone—Apple is reportedly naming its first foldable phone the "iPhone Duo," with a starting price of $2,000.
The entry-level version will come with 256GB of storage, and Apple will also release a larger capacity version, with the highest price potentially reaching around $3,000. This phone is expected to launch as early as October, offering white and dark blue color options. 4. iPhone 18 Pro Series – The iPhone 18 Pro series will look almost identical to the 17 Pro series, with one major change being the replacement of the orange color with a burgundy. However, in terms of cameras, the 18 Pro series will feature a new lens and professional-grade imaging software. A mechanical aperture may be added to the larger models, enabling more precise depth-of-field control and improving low-light performance. Furthermore, the island design will be further reduced, and the series will feature the A20 Pro chip and a redesigned vapor chamber for better heat management.
5. Apple Watch and AirPods 5 – For the new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, Apple will introduce new colors and redesign the case and band. The Series 12 will return to a ceramic case version; the Ultra 4 will have longer battery life. Additionally, Apple will introduce the entry-level AirPods 5, featuring significantly upgraded active noise cancellation.
6. Other potential new products: A home hub for controlling smart home devices, a new Apple TV with a faster processor, and a HomePod mini. Additionally, Apple is expected to announce the official release dates for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27.
7. Products not expected to be released: According to media reports, the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed until next spring; in-ear AirPods will be delayed until next year; a MacBook Pro with an M6 chip and a new iMac may be released before the end of this year; a new MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen may be released at the end of this year or early next year; and an OLED iPad mini is expected to be released before the end of October.
