A report by research firm Digitimes points out that as major tech companies increase spending on custom AI chips, competition is shifting towards network technologies that connect increasingly complex computing systems. AI infrastructure is evolving towards a multi-architectural model, with GPUs and proprietary AI accelerators coexisting, driving increased demand for advanced interconnect technologies. This shift will create opportunities across the supply chain, from switch and interconnect chip manufacturers to cable, connector, and optical component suppliers, particularly within the Taiwanese hardware ecosystem.
