At the mid-session close, China's main futures contracts were mixed. SC crude
oil rose over 5%; methanol gained over 4%; benzene climbed over 3%; propylene
and p-xylene were up near 3%; fuel oil, styrene (EB), LPG, short fiber and PTA
advanced over 2%. On the downside, palladium fell more than 2%; ferrosilicon,
urea and palm oil declined over 1%.
