PBOC Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng attended the Bank for International
Settlements (BIS) meeting of central bank governors in Basel on Sept. 6-7, 2026.
Governors exchanged views on the global economic and financial outlook,
central-bank responses to supply shocks, challenges from rapid AI-driven
technological change and a volatile external environment for monetary policy,
and on policy communication. During the meeting Xuan held bilateral talks with
several governors to discuss issues of mutual concern.
