The head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization stated that the new round of US sanctions against Iranian airlines is merely a continuation of a policy that has already failed. He pointed out that although the sanctions may increase the operating costs of the aviation industry and make it more difficult to meet some demands, they have so far failed to disrupt Iran's domestic flight operations and will not be able to do so in the future.
