At the close of trading in New York, the euro was worth $1.1630, up from $1.1629 the previous day; the pound sterling was worth $1.3546, down from $1.3547. The dollar was worth 153.60 yen, down from 153.61 yen; 0.8103 Swiss francs, up from 0.8090 Swiss francs; 1.3806 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3781 Canadian dollars; and 9.6009 Swedish krona, up from 9.5816 Swedish krona.
