Sept. 10 — China's Foreign Ministry said it will work with Latin American and
Caribbean countries to build a fair and reasonable global AI governance
framework. The ministry called for openness, inclusivity, shared benefits and
ethical use, and warned that closed, exclusionary "small circles" or
geopolitical manoeuvring would hinder technology development in the Global
South. China said it aims to promote AI that benefits people in all countries.
