At a Sept 10 State Council Information Office briefing, CSRC vice chairman Li
Chao said the regulator will intensify a coordinated “punish‑prevent‑remediate”
approach and administrative‑civil‑criminal enforcement cooperation to strengthen
the prevention, detection and punishment network for accounting fraud. The CSRC
will push for rigorous, expedited investigation and handling of major cases and
coordinate with relevant ministries and local governments to create a market
environment where firms do not dare, cannot and do not want to falsify
financials.
