At 17:00 on Sept 10 a Long March 4B rocket launched from the Jiuquan Satellite
Launch Center successfully placed remote-sensing satellites Yaogan-53 01-03 and
Yaogan-56 01-03 into their designated orbits. The satellites are tasked with
scientific experiments, land-resource surveys, crop-yield estimation and
disaster prevention/mitigation. The mission was the 666th flight of the Long
March rocket series.
