On Sept. 10 in Shenzhen, China General Nuclear (CGN) signed a co-insurance agreement for operating-period insurance at its nuclear power stations, RMB pricing and settlement for implementing major policy lines. The move ends more than 30 years of reliance on foreign-currency transactions in China’s nuclear insurance market and marks a key step toward deeper participation in international pricing and settlement rulemaking. The agreement covers 33 operating units across eight CGN sites and provides coverage exceeding 210 billion yuan.
