According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, Hazam al-Assad, a senior member of the Houthi rebels in Yemen, stated, "The ball is now in Saudi Arabia's court; they must lift the blockade on the Yemeni people. If Saudi Arabia refuses to lift the blockade, the next phase of operations could escalate." Assad mentioned the Houthi rebels' recent significant progress, having seized and liberated several Saudi military bases on the west coast, and claimed that the group possesses the military capability to expand its control and respond to any challenge.
