ETFs closed mixed, with the Brazil ETF (520870) leading the gains at 1.97%, followed by the Communications ETF (159511) at 1.23% and the Brazil ETF (159100) at 1.20%. The Non-Ferrous Metals ETF (159652) led the declines at 4.3%, with the Guotai Haitong Non-Ferrous Metals ETF (561830) falling 4.29% and the Industrial Non-Ferrous Metals ETF (560970) also falling 4.29%.

On Sept. 10 the Shanghai Stock Exchange said in a speech that as of end‑August domestic listed ETFs totaled 1,647 with AUM of 4.96 tln yuan. A further 270 ETFs launched year‑to‑date (+17% YoY). Jan–Aug cumulative ETF turnover reached nearly 82 tln yuan (+81% YoY), signaling improved liquidity and greater investors participation. The exchange said it will, in line with 15th Five‑Year Plan guidance to cultivate patient capital and attract long‑term funds, continue to broaden the ETF product set, refine ETF rules and market infrastructure, and optimize the ETF investment ecosystem.
