The Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued
the Digital Countryside High-Quality Development Action Plan (2026–2030). The
plan orders accelerated integration of optimized land, seed, machinery and
farming methods with digital technologies, focusing on key regions and varieties
and promoting scalable digital solutions to lift large-area crop yields. It
mandates a digital-scenario certification framework and construction of locally
adapted smart farms across crop, livestock and aquaculture sectors. The plan
directs R&D and deployment of intelligent breeding technologies and the
development of smart seed-production zones and core breeding facilities for
Livestock, poultry and aquaculture, calls for an agricultural AI standards
system and wider AI-agriculture application, and tasks modern farm service
centers with raising the digital and intelligent level of agricultural
socialized services.
