On Sept. 9 in Beijing, National Energy Administration Director Wang Hongzhi met
with the UN Under‑Secretary‑General and ESCAP Executive Secretary to discuss
Asia‑Pacific energy transition and China‑ESCAP cooperation. Wang said ESCAP,
through the Asia‑Pacific Energy Ministers’ Forum and other mechanisms, has
helped stabilize global energy markets and accelerate regional transition, and
pledged China will continue strategic support for ESCAP’s energy work and
meetings, participate and share China’s green low‑carbon development experience,
and contribute to Asia‑Pacific sustainable energy development.
