China's acting UN chargé d'affaires Sun Lei told a UN South‑South Cooperation
Day high‑level discussion that Beijing supports Uruguay's remarks on the Group
of 77 and China and called for deepening South‑South cooperation. He praised the
UN Office for South‑South Cooperation, urged focus on capacity building and
knowledge sharing, and said initiatives should be developing‑country led,
demand‑driven and deliver practical results; he described China as part of the
Global South.
