An Indian government official said BRICS delegates at the two-day summit in New
Delhi have agreed a joint communique despite significant geopolitical divisions.
Talks ran into the early hours of Saturday and were complicated by the need to
secure among consensus participants including Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE;
the official provided no details and the communique was expected later Saturday
evening.
