Iranian President Masoud Pezechzian met with Indian President Dhraubdi Mormu in New Delhi and called on both countries to fully realize their potential and expand economic relations. Pezechzian told Mormu that Iran had “witnessed the criminal acts of the United States and Israel” in recent months, but the Iranian people “resisted with all their might and stood up against their bullying.” He added that Iran “is not an aggressor, but is resisting the aggression of an enemy.” During the discussions, Mormu reiterated India’s commitment to seeking “lasting peace” through “dialogue and diplomacy.” A statement released by the Indian president said the two leaders also discussed “the long-standing friendly relations between Iran and India, including the strong cultural and people-to-people ties between the two countries.”
