Meta Platforms (META.O) chief AI officer Alexandr Wang said AI that 'benefits
everyone' means people must be able to trust powerful AI to reliably pursue
their goals without producing unwanted side effects. He said alignment is
central to that pledge and warned the industry is at a critical juncture as
capabilities rapidly advance; the sector must make rapid progress on alignment.
Wang added that delivering a future where AI benefits all will require prudent,
comprehensive action across the industry during this period.
