Mehr news agency reports Speaker Ghalibaf has submitted the "National AI
Development Law" to the president for implementation. The bill, containing 12
articles and eight notes, was reported by the Industry and Mine Committee,
passed in an open parliamentary session and approved by the Guardian Council.
Under Article 2, the law would establish a National AI Organization to organize
and develop the AI ecosystem; it would serve as an independent agency and as the
secretariat to a national steering committee, operate under the president, use
only existing facilities, budgets and personnel, and comply with applicable laws
and regulations.
