Iranian President Peskov stated at the BRICS summit that the BRICS nations today are not merely a cooperation framework among emerging economies, but rather reflect a growing need for a more balanced and inclusive world—a world where no single power center has the right to determine the fate of others. Peskov pointed out that unilateral sanctions today are not only economic issues but also directly impact food security and the well-being of people. Therefore, the BRICS nations should build shared capacity for economic resilience among member states by developing local currency trade and strengthening the New Development Bank. Without security, economic resilience is unsustainable. The situation in our region, especially the military aggression of the US and Israeli regimes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, demonstrates that attacks on a nation's economy, energy, and development infrastructure can, in a short period, extend beyond its borders, bringing regional and global consequences. The Iranian people have paid a heavy price for these aggressions.
