These individuals believe that the decades-long economic ties between the UAE's financial center and southern Iran are not easily broken. On August 18-19, the UAE announced the suspension of all trade, commercial, and financial transactions with Tehran after detecting two ballistic missile attacks launched from Iran within its borders.
