On Sept 13 in New Delhi, CHINA attended the second-stage meeting of the 18th BRICS leaders' summit and delivered a speech urging Global South countries to defend the international rule of law, uphold sovereign equality, non-interference and peaceful dispute resolution, and oppose double standards in applying international law and rules. CHINA called for firm support of multilateralism and UN authority, backed reforms to multilateral institutions and the WTO, and advocated reforming the international financial architecture to raise developing countries' representation and voice. He also pushed for implementation of the UN 2030 sustainable development agenda, joint security governance against traditional and non-traditional threats, stronger global climate governance, and accelerating a broadly consensual global AI governance framework.

CITIC Securities research note says divergence in rate‑hike expectations has unsettled investors but the expected Fed rate hike would consolidate consensus and could trigger a new equity leg. A‑shares posted a V‑shaped rebound on Friday despite four major negatives; coupled with the anticipated Fed move, Thursday’s sharp volume contraction and a relatively complete tech-sector correction, CITIC says A‑shares may be at a market turning point and could begin a counterattack. Recommended positioning: maintain a balanced base with tactical flexibility—overweight telecoms and electronics as the offensive core and raise allocations modestly; keep banks and insurers as defensive, low‑valuation baseline holdings; monitor oil & gas exploration, coal chemicals, coal, oilfield services and shipping/ports for upside from sustained high oil prices.
