Sept 14 — At a regular briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun was asked
to confirm media reports that Kremlin spokesman Peskov said China and India
leaders discussed Ukraine at the BRICS summit and how China would seek a
solution. Guo reiterated that China’s position on the Ukraine crisis is
consistent and clear: dialogue and negotiation are the only viable way to
resolve the crisis, and China supports any efforts conducive to peace.
