The Houthi rebels in Yemen continue their military attacks, resulting in numerous casualties, including civilians. Stability in Yemen and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, including from an energy security perspective, is crucial to the entire international community. Japan will continue to maintain close cooperation with the Yemeni government.
