A Reuters poll showed that 86 out of 101 economists expect the Federal Reserve to raise the federal funds rate to 3.75%-4.00% on September 16 (compared to 65 out of 93 economists in a September 9 poll who expected rates to remain unchanged). 37 out of 70 economists expect the Fed to raise rates at least twice by the end of March 2027 (compared to 21 out of 82 economists in a September 9 poll).
