Bernd Lange, chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on International
Trade, said the EU and Canada should form a "team of fairness and partnership"
to counter an international order increasingly shaped by coercion, dependency
and power politics. He said the concept should be promoted to countries seeking
reliable partners rather than dependency and political pressure.
