China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and National Development
and Reform Commission issued a development plan for the electronic information
manufacturing sector through 2030. The plan targets high-quality growth and a
decisive global role, with revenue of enterprises above designated size to
surpass 30 tln yuan by 2030. It aims for breakthroughs in integrated circuits,
advanced computing, consumer electronics, basic electronics and power
electronics, producing a number of leading technologies and products. Policy
targets include raising industry R&D intensity to 3.5%, markedly expanding
computing-power supply capacity, and significantly increasing adoption of
next‑generation smart terminals.
