Since China began a visa-free trial for Russian ordinary passport holders on
Sept 15 last year, cross-border travel has expanded. Heilongjiang Border
Inspection General Station said the one-year trial saw about 3.388 million
entry-and-exit checks at the province’s ports, up 29.3% YoY; Russian inbound
arrivals totaled roughly 617,000, up 76.9% YoY.
