On the upside, Shanghai crude futures (SC) jumped over 9%; fuel oil rose nearly 2%; asphalt and LPG up more than 1%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), coking coal and synthetic rubber up about 1%.

Elon Musk's super semiconductor factory, Terafab, is accelerating equipment procurement. In the second quarter, the company placed a large number of orders for front-end equipment with major equipment suppliers such as ASML, Applied Materials, Lam Research, and Tokyo Electron. Entering the second half of the year, the focus of procurement is gradually shifting to back-end equipment such as packaging. Hanmi Semiconductor has secured an order from Terafab for semiconductor packaging equipment for its AI systems, becoming the first South Korean company to enter Terafab's back-end equipment supply chain. The equipment will be used in its advanced packaging production lines, but the contract amount, quantity, and specific delivery time have not yet been disclosed. Terafab's current goal is to achieve initial production in 2029, which is a shift from the previously reported timeline of "trial production by the end of 2027 and mass production in 2028."
