Huawei supervisory board chair Guo Ping said Huawei, as controlling shareholder
with capital links to many partners, views Yinwang as its vehicle for smart auto
components and an extension of Huawei’s ICT business. He said Huawei has AI
agents supported by a data flywheel—most visible in smartphones and intelligent
driving—and that AI agents require such data systems. In telecoms the network
owner is the operator and Huawei assists with network automation; in autos
Huawei provides intelligent driving services directly via Yinwang and expects to
continue shouldering leadership of Yinwang’s development for a considerable
period.
