Sept 15 — Xin'ao Fusion began construction of the Helong‑2 spheromak hydrogen–boron plasma platform at its R&D center in the Langfang Economic & Technological Development Zone. The project covers about 120 mu (~8 ha) and will build more than ten core systems to establish a global‑leading hydrogen–boron fusion experimental platform. Timeline: park to be ready for equipment delivery by end‑June 2027; device construction, commissioning and entry into the experimental phase by end‑2027; target to achieve first hydrogen–boron fusion ignition by 2030.
