At the opening of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts declined, with SC crude oil falling over 5%, fuel oil falling over 4%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) falling over 3%, styrene (EB) and benzene falling over 2%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) falling nearly 2%, and pulp and plastics falling over 1%. On the upside, rapeseed meal rose nearly 2%, while methanol, coking coal, and soybean meal rose nearly 1%.
