AFP on the 17th, citing sources, reported Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
was denied a US entry visa to attend the UN General Assembly. The Times of
Israel, citing Palestinian and US officials, said Abbas’s office received the
refused and that dozens of Palestinian officials due to travel with him were
also denied visas. This is the second consecutive year the US has refused Abbas
a visa.
