Russia launched overnight missile strikes and 157 drones at targets including
Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa, while Ukraine struck one of Russia’s largest
refineries, authorities said. The Ukrainian air force said air defenses shot
down 131 targets but did not specify whether missiles were among them. Kyiv
mayor Vitali Klitschko reported at least 16 wounded and a water outage in
eastern districts; Odesa officials reported six wounded and damage to buildings
and infrastructure. The Yaroslavl refinery, a fuel supplier for Moscow and
surrounding regions, was struck for the second time after previous attacks, most
recently in late August. Both Moscow and Kyiv said they welcomed the idea of an
energy ceasefire but said no agreement to halt attacks has been reached,
contradicting claims by Trump that such a deal exists.
