China A-shares closed lower; Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.41%, Shenzhen
Composite Index down 0.33%, ChiNext down 0.40%. Combined turnover on the
Shanghai and Shenzhen markets were 1.82 trillion yuan, down 16 billion yuan from
the prior session. More than 2,800 stocks declined. Grain sector bucked the
weakness: Wanxiang Denong posted a second consecutive daily limit-up, Jinjian
Rice and Dunhuang Seed also hit daily limits. CRO names were active throughout
the session, with Baihua Pharmaceutical among stocks at their limits. Auto OEMs
rallied; Zotye Auto and Ankai Bus hit daily limits. Outperformers included
internet e-commerce, wind-turbine equipment, media and shipping & ports;
laggards included MLCC, precious metals, electronic components and aerospace
equipment.
