Swiss watch exports increased for a fourth consecutive month in August, driven by higher shipments to Japan and Singapore, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry said. Export value was up 9.1% YoY, bringing the 12-month moving average back into positive territory for the first time in two years. The federation said global demand remains constrained by tariffs and geopolitical tensions that have weighed on luxury sales; Vontobel analyst Jean-Philippe Bertschy said mid- and high-end models underperformed lower-priced watches. Shipments to the US fell sharply, down 19.4% in August.
