Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) on Sep. 17 released its Q3 2026 Investor Sentiment Survey showing 58.6% of respondents expect A-shares to rise, down 5.2 percentage points from April 2026, even as trading activity continues to increase
Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) on Sep. 17 released its Q3 2026 Investor Sentiment Survey showing 58.6% of respondents expect A-shares to rise, down 5.2 percentage points from April 2026, even as trading activity continues to increase. The report highlights a notable improvement in corporate earnings: A-share listed companies' net profit TTM YoY, which was negative from June 2022 through March 2026, recovered to 5.9% in June 2026; private firms reported ~23% net profit growth in 2025 and Q1 2026, accelerating to 36.7% in Q2 2026. CKGSB warns the divergence between improving economic fundamentals and weak market sentiment suggests confidence has yet to be restored and that respondents may be underestimating the combined risks from geopolitics, an AI-driven technological shift, climate change and financial vulnerabilities.
