NVIDIA has committed $2bn to Brookfield Asset Management’s global AI
infrastructure fund, investor filings show; the dollar amount was disclosed for
the first time in the latest filing though the investment had been previously
reported. Brookfield has identified NVIDIA and the Kuwait Investment Authority
as cornerstone investors; the fund will invest in AI infrastructure including
factories, behind-the-meter power solutions and compute capacity. New York–based
Brookfield is targeting $10bn for the AI fund and plans to raise about $50bn for
its infrastructure business over the next two years, with AI included across
strategies; it is also a member of a NVIDIA-led $500bn AI compute infrastructure
financing platform.
